About Emily MacMaster
Emily has practiced employment law and business litigation at California and Idaho law firms. Later, as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of Idaho, Emily practiced law in the Civil Litigation Division where she represented state agencies and officials in civil lawsuits, prosecuted professional licensing cases, and served as agency counsel for the Division of Human Resources in the Office of the Governor, before serving as agency counsel for the Idaho Department of Correction. In 2022, Emily co-taught the Civil Rights Litigation course to law students, as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Idaho College of Law.
Lawsuits: Emily represents clients in employment lawsuits, business disputes, and state government litigation. She is licensed to practice in Idaho’s state and federal district courts, the Idaho Court of Appeals, the Idaho Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Workforce Management: Emily specializes in employment law. She offers pro-active legal approaches for complying with state and federal employment laws to manage legal risks, resolve disputes, and avoid unnecessary litigation. Where employment litigation is necessary, Emily has a track record of successfully representing her clients’ interests.
Government Regulation: Emily has extensive experience litigating in administrative proceedings before State of Idaho agencies, including multiple professional licensing boards and commissions, the Idaho Personnel Commission, and the Idaho Human Rights Commission. Emily also represents federal agency employees and non-federal employees in proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
